Ecosystem, 2004
Using a live video camera that is connected to a computer program, digital organisms interact with viewers throughout the gallery space. The main organism, on the ceiling, grows by acknowledging the numbers of visitors that come to the gallery.
The organisms were made by scanning in produce and trinkets from a near by China town market. They are then manipulated by computer code, giving them life spans and personalities.
